Why do people reject God?
Many people reject God for various reasons. people claim there is no proof of His existence, even though Scripture reminds us that “the heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands” (Psalm 19:1) and that “since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities and his eternal power and divine nature and have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made” (Romans 1:20).
Others rely on science or human reasoning, forgetting that “the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight” (1 Corinthians 3:19). The problem of evil and suffering often leads many to doubt God’s goodness, but the Bible assures us that “the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18) and that trials are used for a purpose (Romans 8:28). Some walk away due to confusing or contradictory religious teachings, yet Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
Some people reject God due to personal pain, unanswered prayers, or trauma, forgetting that God promises, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). Negative experiences with hypocrisy in religion also push people away, though Jesus Himself warned of false teachers and hypocrites (Matthew 23:27).
Some simply want freedom to live without moral boundaries, but Scripture says, “They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator” (Romans 1:25).
Finally, culture and peer influence lead many astray, but Romans 12:2 urges us, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Why do people kill other people?
Parents are murdering children, why?
First, know that this isn’t anything new.
Let’s talk about why people commit murder:
Murder originates inside of the mind then heart:
1. Human Nature
Genesis 6:5 describes humanity’s inner thoughts as “only evil all the time”— this truth aligns with behavioral science on aggression and moral decay. Aggression is when someone tries to hurt or control others through words or actions, often out of anger or jealousy. Moral decay is when people slowly stop caring about what’s right and wrong, leading to harmful or selfish behavior. Both can lead to violence, and the Bible shows that when people give in to these, like Cain did, it can end in murder.
2. Jealousy and Anger
Cain’s murder of Abel (Genesis 4) was driven by envy and unchecked emotion. God warned Cain: “Sin is crouching at your door… but you must master it.” Emotional regulation is only obtained by confessing our emotions to God. Only God can heal that type of deep and rooted pain, especially after betrayal.
3. Hatred as Moral Failure
1 John 3:15 equates hatred with murder. Jesus deepens this by teaching that unresolved anger carries the same moral weight (Matthew 5:21–22). Psychology supports this: hate often precedes violence.
4. Loss of Moral Accountability
Romans 3:18 says, “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Without a sense of higher moral responsibility, human life becomes negotiable.
Ethical relativism means people believe right and wrong depend on their own opinions.
The Bible talks about people who don’t respect a higher moral rule, like “fear of God.” Without this respect, people might think anything they do is okay, even if it hurts others.
